I've had problems with every gun I've ever shot in competition. The AR is fixed and I can't believe the accuracy. It's a dream to shoot it again. My last match score was a 468 and that was even with missing 90% in the standing. As soon as I get to Master, I'll start playing with the other toys like the Garand again. I might even pick up an "03A3.
I'm a die hard devotee of competition. If anyone wishes to get better at anything, I believe that competition is the only way. It pushes your limits, it provides the knowledge needed and teaches techniques a person wouldn't try on their own. I asked one time if there were any Masters on this site and so far, only one person has replied.
I haven't shot for score since I was in the service. I do have to qualify with all my weapons at the dept. but that's different.
I'd like to get out there and shoot iron sights all the way back to 1000. That would be great.
