Gloria Steinem has long been a pain in the keester. This issue is different. Females in the Catholic Church are kept out of the inner circle. They can participate up to a point. It is long past the time for women to share in the ministry. Secret shuffling of abusers by church leaders is criminal and they know it. It is time for sane decisions regarding children and their safety. It is more than apparent the leaders protect themselves and not the kids.

I'm indifferent to who does the preaching as I don't go to church. It seems silly to say that for whatever reason, that only men can represent God to the masses. As I recall in the Bible, God talked directly to Adam and Eve. He didn't talk to Adam and tell him to relay the message to Eve, and that if Eve had anything to say, to tell Adam, who would then relay it back to God. When they screwed up and made God mad, Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the serpent and God threw them BOTH out of the garden. I can't understand why either sex can claim the esclusive right to God to me or anyone else.
