I agree with you, so that means I believe your answer is right! On the other hand, there are three colors in the American flag. If red is a problem, why didn't someone choose white, the alternate color? Blue and white works for me.

because white doesn't look like anything-it doesn't stand out. There is nothing wrong with red. It's a beautiful color and part of the American flag.
