Donna Brazile to Speak at American Univ

American University, 4400 Mass Ave, NW, Washington DC. Event begins at 8:15pm this Wednesday (April 3) in the Butler Board Room.

Donna Brazile will apparently speak on the "voting irregularities" of the 2000 election, in her role as Chair of the Voting Rights Institute. This is probably in conjunction with that Alan Lichtman/US Civil Rights Commission study that "found" all sorts of black disenfranchisement in Florida (Lichtman is a tenured professor of history at AU).

For all of you in the DC area, this is an opportunity to show up and ask Donna LOTS of questions about some of her more outrageous comments and activities ... as well as the "findings" of the Lichtman study. The Butler Board Room is on one of the upper floors of the Abby Joel Butler Pavillion at AU. I think it's a floor or two above the University Bookstore.

Maybe it's just me but every time I go to say this woman's name it comes out as "Donna Brassiere". Must be some sort of Freudian slip? :-)
