I'm too pi**ed to touch this one right now. This "VANE" bit** is history. I can't believe what she said about black women and how they have to be "beautiful" to the mass media. This has got to be the "UGLIEST", most "UNGRATEFUL", "SHAMELESS" person I have ever seen, inside and out.

She seems to be her own biggest fan. I mean, she is a beautiful woman, on the outside anyway, but there doesn't seem to be any substance there.

Apparently Ann Coulter has a few words for Ms. Berry, and entertaining they are.
Found here.

"They've made her lighter even than Ava Gardner in Showbaot." That isn't difficult.

You know, that girl needs a big slice of "humble pie". She may get a few roles in some two-bit movies down the line but she will never be a truley wonderful, loveable actress.
Hattie McDaniels, Butterfly McQueen-Gone With the Wind.
Juanita Moore- Imitation of Life
Della Reese--Touched By An Angel
Those are just a few of the most wonderful black actresses I have ever seen on the screen.
Someone once asked Hattie McDaniel (mammy) "why you always play a maid for the white man in them movies?' Her reply was "I'd rather play a maid in the movies than be a maid in real life." she was great, and I loved her.
