**Exclusive**
His fancy moves on the playing field keep his opponents guessing. And now, political Washington is intrigued by NFL star Tom Brady's apparent interest in public service. But is he a republican -- or a democrat? Or is he taking a cue from the Dick Morris playbook: of triangulation?
WASHINGTON -- This year's Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady told associates on Tuesday at the White House that he is a big fan of President Bush -- and one day he wants to run for office!
"I dig him, like his politics...style," the star quarterback of the New England Patriots said during a Rose Garden ceremony honoring the 2001 NFL Champions.
"What a place this is!" Brady, in awe, said during a tour of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, according to sources.
"His teammates were joking that he might be living in the White House one day," said an insider. "'President Brady!' they teased."
Brady has told family and friends that he has dreams of being a U.S. senator.
The San Mateo, California native has not publicly revealed any political ambition or political affiliation.
"The way he was talking, I'd say he's definitely a republican," observed a Bush source.
"He is a moderate democrat," a close friend of Brady's countered on Wednesday.
Playing both sides against the center, Brady has agreed to headline a fund-raiser for Senator John F. Kerry [D-MA] on June 21.

Well, if he is hosting a dinner with John Kerry, we can probably conclude that he is not a conservative.
Though it is nice to hear that he supports Bush.

Kerry is hard to pin down though. He kinda picks and chooses his issues. He's pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, and anti-death panalty. But he's also big on military spending and school vouchers, is generally tough on crime and favors lower taxes. He is a Massachusetts Democrat though.

I don't see much of a mystery here about his politics. He says a few nice things about a Republican, while he raises money for a Democrat. Follow the money.

Kerry votes with Daschle 100% of the time. If Brady supports Kerry he opposes Bush. Kerry opposes Bush on everything. He's voted against Bushs tax cuts and he opposes ANWAR.

Someone better call Brady's agent. He's got a huge fan base, many of whom will sour on him if he campaigns for Ol' Horseface. Remember Doug Flutie, who was highly respected until he started campaigning for Hillary! in New York. He's been boo'd in New England ever since, and his charity has taken a hit, too.
Please, Tom, say it ain't so!

As a Patriots fan, I can tell you this guy is a real life Forest Gump.
To: mattdono
I don't have a clue who this guy is. Football player? I don't give an "F" what he thinks. That's "F" as in John "F" Kerry. Who I could care less about either.
I put guys like Kerry, who issues a press release that they should be called "F" instead of "not F" or "Forbes", in the same league as someone like Biden, who paid someone to cram holes in his head so he could have doll hair. Strange men.

As a Chiefs fan, I still would take John Elway, the same QB who skipped the White House meeting with Klinton, anyday of the year.

Boy, Drudge is hurting for stories!
A one-year, flash-in-the-pan boneheaded football player announces that he "dreams of being a Senator" and Drudge has an "Exclusive" headline.
Bring back the blue dress.

His career as a spokesman is over.

Brady's just a kid. When I was in my early 20s, I didn't know what the heck I was. I remember hanging out at a supermarket one day getting people to sign a petition to save the whales or some such nonsense. And that was only because my friend dragged me there and I had nothing better to do that day. Then I grew up.

I remember hanging out at a supermarket one day getting people to sign a petition to save the whales or some such nonsense I agree. That is why PC finds its home in the university, because kids that are 20 years old don't know any better (normally) and believe the liberal BS. Once we become mature, we realize how hoky the Left's arguments are. It is rare that you see principled debate and cogent points from a liberal. It would be a refreshing change from the normal hyperbole and hand-wringing.
I must also admit that I worked at a phone bank for democRAT state representative, just so I could hang out with this girl I was interested in. You know what they say, "the power of the...", well you know. I wasn't there because I believed in the platform (though I was aware of his positions), I was there for the girl. Luckily, I got snapped into shape...both politically and morally (no more cattin' around).

Boston Globe had a story today that stated that Drew Bledsoe is a big supporter of President Bush. He's from Western Washington and likes to spend the offseason in Montana and those areas seem to be fairly conservative. As a Patriots fan, I'll miss the guy even more having read this today.
On a different note it was also good / funny to read how many of the Patriots players made comments to Bush encouraging him to speed up the tax cuts.
To: CastleMan95
Western Washington...whoops...my bad. Bledsoes from Eastern Washington (Walla Walla).
To: mattdono
He might get there, but to really be qualified for a political career in DC, he first needs to spend a little more time in the NFL so as to acquire a few more concussions and brain trauma.
After he's lost some more neurons, he'll fit right in.
To: mattdono
This guy is playing both sides already....
Makes me glad I coach DEFENSE.
To: mattdono
Who gives a flying frig what he wants to do 10 years from now? He's a pro football player.
All I want to know is, can he hit a hankerchief with a football from 70 yards consiste
ntly?
To: Bloody Sam Roberts
Ooops. I missed. I guess I won't be tossing footballs for the PAts!

Is this confession time? I once gave to "Greenpeace" and the one which buys land to save it for environmental purposes. (Can't remember the name.) Oh, and amnesty international. Never saved the whales, though.
