That's exactly when I was there, '71 - '76. From Hastings Hall (East Halls), to Theta Xi, to Lions Gate Apartments, and finally to a house on Burrows St. (a couple blocks up from Zeno's).
I believe the gutless Spanier is a large part of the problem, although you have to wonder what a guy like Dr. Oswald would have done in these times. Heck, you might remember we had some pretty good rallies ourselves (remember shutting down Rt. 322 to "protest" the bombing of the Ho Chi Mihn trail in 1971 or '72? I think that's what the "protest" was about - - I just remember lots of wine and chicks...) but 'Earth Day' was about as perverted as it got. In those days, the homos tended to stay in the My-O-My (the front part).
