The New York Times was awarded the public service award for "A Nation Challenged," a daily stand-alone section on the aftermath of the attacks and the war in Afghanistan.

"A Nation Challenged"--that makes America sound like a special ed country. Like our diplomats ride to the UN on the short bus...

Actually, the NYT won 8 Pulitzers. The 8th is referred to as the Pullleeeeaaassseee-itzer for the most rabidly Left wing reporting and editorials. The NYT won but it was a close race with the Washington Post and the LA Times tying for second.
