Imagine the bravery of the 19% who would state publicly that they didn't support Arafat!

Even more striking: 55% of Israelis say Sharon should declare now that if the terrorism stops, Israel will agree to peace talks to establish a Palestinian state.

Such a declaration at this stage would contradict Sharon's adamant refusal to consider any diplomatic moves or even discussions before Palestinian terror is wiped out.

The writer seems to think that these are in opposition.

Notice that since Israel's aggressive incursion into the West Bank the suicide bombings have largely ceased. I haven't heard anyone pointing this out.

Good to see Sharon's vindication. Always knew he was a good leader. Can't understand araRATfink's support. His terrorist budgie pals must have been the only ones polled. I find it unusual for Egyptian araRATfink to purport to represent palestinians, as he and his terrorist pals use palestinian women and children as shields, but his wife and offspring live in plush Paris surroundings.

Sharon's job-approval rating leaped ... to 62% after he launched Operation Protective Shield 12 days ago

I wonder how many of the remaining 38% percent think Sharon is doing too little?
