FR Fight-War...preserve-protect the Republic/Constitution/Rights!
April 11. 2002 | Fletcher Christian

One recent good example of the fight--struggle we're in is the new legislation on Campaign Finance Reform. If we followed the founders original intent--LAW...all US Senators would be appointed by the semi-sovereign states of the Union and they would be obligated trustees to their state and our national constitution and not special interest groups and partisan election politics, parties or mobacracy---pandering treacheries and foreign treason and bribes. Why the 18th amendment---directly electing and exposing senators to the public and foreign interest pressure groups---did away with this protection-safegaurd was a major error and needs to be corrected. Controlling the disease and outlawing the cure--prevention is common aspect to a prolonged--predetermined terminal outcome...death to liberty--freedom--rule of law-constitution.

More patent medicine--witch doctors hoaxes killing the Republic...

Smaller states are heavily more protected--represented in the Senate and the electoral college by having a minimum 3 electoral vote(2/senator...1/representative) dilutes the power hold larger states would have to tip the balance in their favor/tyranny. Hillary Clinton wants to do away with the electoral college too---devilcattlery---rustling--branding con artistry too!

Also...

no standing armies--we have the SS-school system zombie-nazis...Dept of INDOCTRINATION---

much--much--worse than an invading--standing army/junta!

Watched an interesting 3 hr program on PBS on the downfall of marxian planned economies and the twenty second conclusion was...this is a victory for 3rd way globalism!

Basically Clinton was the president of a parallel world that eventually will become so big it will swallow up everything that gets in its way.

we are the few--informed--ready--fighting!

Do you really think that a politician skilful enough to gain the support of fellow politicians in their State's legislature would not pander even more to the desires of politicians and those who influence them?

hilary rodham got elected in a 200 hundred million dollar campaign...

doesn't that money--promises seem like a lot of dirty deal---pandering!

What is pandering---us/law--rights on the auction block with counterfiet money--coupons--votes...give/take-aways!

And do you honestly believe it works the way it is now? The 17th Amendment virtually destroyed the last vestiges of the Republic, from then on we have become some sort of sick democracy. And from your name, my understanding of the Libertarian Party is to return to the original Constitution

The supreme court judges are appointed and Clarence Thomas carries the constitution on him--in his pocket!

Supreme Court Justices are nominated on their Judicial qualifications; wouldn't Senators likely be nominated on their political skill in manipulation and bringing home the bacon.

Yes, I discovered this too long ago with the libertyphobes. I think they have some sort of mental disorder where they get extreme pleasure from intentionally lying about libertarian thought.

Before the 17th Amendment, a federal senator was beholden to the state legislature, and only indirectly to "the people".

This had the effect of protecting the power of States in the balance of power with the Federal government. I don't think it is a coincidence that the Federal government gained the upper hand following its ratification.

The 17th Amendment weakened the Tenth Amendment and helped to turn this country from a Constitutional Republic into a Federal Democracy.

Well not to get too deep into this but that issue was crossed before the War. What you're talking about comes directly from this
Henry Clay
Although Clay was a practical politician of flexible rather than rigid beliefs, he did emerge as the great champion of the "American System." He called for a protective tariff in support of home manufactures, internal improvements (federal aid to local road and canal projects), a strong national bank, and distribution of the proceeds of federal land sales to the states.
Clay followed the Hamiltonian view of government(Hamilton even went as far to suggest that the US should move to a benign monarchy). The 'American System' championed 'internal improvements' which failed drastically in the 1830s, 40s, and 50s to the point that many states actually banned 'internal improvements' at the state level within their constitutions. Until the War, this idea was not even considered seriously at the federal level. Want to take a guess who Clay's student was and championed 'internal improvements'?

So yes, in the position this nation is in with the Senators wanting the pork for their state (internal improvements) it would be very hard to return to the original ideals of the Constitution. Hard but necessary

"Pulling it all together, what we have right here in our own country are all of the ingredients necessary for a totalitarian police state. We have a federal government that nobody in his right mind would trust, which lies to us incessantly, uses illegal force against its citizens with impunity, and collaborates with totalitarian dictators under cover of a massive propaganda campaign conducted by our supposedly free press. Our major information media are dominated by closet totalitarians who pay lip service to democracy while covertly promoting the interests of communist despots. The political opposition is made up largely of cowards who are so intimidated by our totalitarian propaganda media they are unable to offer effective resistance to even the most egregious violations of civil liberties by the... corrupt Clinton regime. They have become, in the fullest sense of the term, Weimar Republicans. And finally, we have that which makes it all possible, a listless, docile, dumbed-down public who gape mindlessly at all of the above phenomena without the slightest glimmer of comprehension, and prattle the latest propaganda cliches dumped into their empty heads by the mainstream media."

"The Elian affair has truly given us a glimpse into the abyss of tyranny. The message that comes through loud and clear is that the system isn't working. The question that remains to be answered is whether we still possess the intelligence and fortitude necessary to fix it."
