Colon Bowell agrees to meet a head terrorist who incites attacks on Israeli civilians, pays for the attacks, and lies all the time. What a crowning successful for Bowell and the State Dept.

I see the State Dept. setting Mr. Fat up to humiliate himself and the Palistinians one last time. This should bring a few moderate Arabs to think along the lines of replacing the SOB>

Arafat should be exiled to say Siberia and Powell should be denied back into the United States. What an embarrassment to us!

We're tripping over our own crank again. Arafat's "statement" was read only on international circuits and by someone else. His "kill the Jews" rants continue unabatted at home. Man, we really are stupid when it comes to dealing with him.

There is a end game planned. I would not jump to conclusions about Powell. I also do not get my news from CNN. They are pro-Pali.

How is the Islamic press covering this? Are they saying that Sharon has denouced the use of the blood of Palestinian children in Jewish rituals?
A placard in Khartoum, Sudan, Monday April 8, 2002, shows Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as a blood-sucking vampire during an anti-Israeli demonstration. Billed as a million-man march, the crowd of at least 700,000 assembled in Khartoum's Martyrs' Square and walked a mile to the United Nations offices, where a delegation handed in a memorandum addressed to U. N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. (AP Photo/Abdel Raouf )

It is no less than the appeasement of terrorism. I am sure our so-called allies in the EU, our third world partners in the UN, and the "moderate terrorist's states" in the Arab League will be very pleased.

Perhaps they will introduce Turkish peacekeeping troops. The Turks don't put up with any crap. A fried of mine who served in Korea fought along side some Turks. Some one said that they needed some new boots. The Turk crawled out under the wire and came back a while later with the boots with the Chinese feet still in them.

Although it would be funny as hell if CNN was wrong on this, it's looking pretty solid.

If it is to tell Arafat in person that he now has to do more than issue statements then it is a good idea.
I don't really care what Arafat gets by being able to meet with Powell.
What matters is what the US does in the future if Arafat doesn't do all he can to end terrorism and make peace with Israel. And with a meeting, no one else can honestly charge that we didn't try to get a peace deal. Oh, the Euro elites will whine but the publics will know the truth.
The onus is on Bush not Powell. And I think Bush will do what is right - and unfortunately for the Palestinians, Arafat won't.
