Worth reading for the Liberal slam alone. Where did this come from? Is there a Mexican Rush Limbaugh or something?
I think I'm going to have to check out this movie. I already like the director...

Yes, good comeback to a pretentious euro reporter. Of course, after reading the article, I see that the good director is just a bit full of himself, a typical hollywood type. I'll forgive him, though, just because of the comeback.

You may like "The Devil's Backbone" better if your taste is anything like mine. About the comeback, you found it hilarious because it's one liberal responding to an inane putdown from another liberal with typical liberal inanity, correct? The director sounds as liberal as the French critic.

The director sounds as liberal as the French critic.Yes, but occassionally it's just plain fun to watch them consume their own. ; )

This is a movie I have NO desire to see, but (sigh) it's good to see a movie-maker say what this one did to the phony liberal reporter. That was nice to read.

Worth reading for the Liberal slam alone. Where did this come from? Is there a Mexican Rush Limbaugh or something? I guess Mexicans just don't like being patronized any more than other people do. It is heartening that this director saw through the condescension behind the implication that all his movies should be "about poverty" Because He's A Mexican. If only more people in the US would see the racism behind such sentiments....
To: Yakboy
Yes indeed it is. I thought that's what you meant.
