I do feel sorry for you guys. I'm a Texan, so it's not so bad over here. No state income tax! But sales tax just went up here to 8.25% from 8%, which hurts, and I'm sure property taxes are high ( I rent) but housing costs here are frightfully low (average cost is about $35-45 per square foot) so I don't feel it.
