U.S. not backing Israel's demand for terror suspects
U.S. State Department officials restated their demand for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank, adding that they do not support Israeli demands for surrender of Palestinians wanted for their involvement in terrorist activities. Spokesman Richard Boucher said the wanted terrorists were under Palestinian jurisdiction, and Israel and the Palestinians would have to work together to resolve the issue.

Israel has been working, to resolve the issue; with the only diplomacy Palis understand--power, violence, death. (Note another thread tells of Pali "show trials" for terrorists, now underway).

naw, the only good palestinian does not live in Eretz Israel. As far as being dead. They are mentally dead. The palestinians all say they are for peace. They are for a piece of all of Israel.

The same *State Department* that thought the *sensativities* of Palestinian terrorists were worth more than the lives of 17 Sailors murdered on the USS Cole?
Someone should save their used Pampers for a month and shove them down Boucher's throat.
Off topic some:

Counterterrorism Expert May Be Victim

In an apparent tragic twist of fate, a former FBI counterterrorism expert who led the investigation of the attack on the USS Cole may have been among those killed at the twin towers.

John O'Neill had recently taken a job as head of security for the WTC. O'Neill was the lead investigator in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as the attack on the Cole, in October 2000.

He had left Yemen, the site of the Cole attack, because officials feared he could have been a terrorism target himself.

O'Neill had not been heard from since Tuesday morning.

If Israel has no right to pursue terrorists, then we better look out. We've been doing it, and we're using more force than they have by far. This sounds an awful lot like an off-handed admission that what the US has been doing in Afghanistan is wrong. And you know what, I don't think it is. But obviously the State Department and the White House disagree if it's they think it's wrong for Israel to pursue their terrorist enemies.

I doubt they think it is wrong. They may believe it not to be in America's best interest for Israel to do this right now.

Israel can't really complain either. The country has a history of harboring criminals if they are the right criminals.

If you want to address the issue of Israel harboring criminals I'm all for it. But when it comes to the Palestinian terrorists, I'm all for Israel doing what it must also.

The murderers of Americans are STILL being encouraged by the US State Dept.

Does the State Dept. have it in for the US, President Bush, or both?

"Yassir, This is Colin Powell, back from my Terrorist Appeasement Tour,
and I'm sending William Burns and other State Dept. proterrorists to save you."

Israel and the Palestinians would have to work together to resolve the issue.

I think they have been working together quite nicely over the last two weeks.

We had a thread about that here. According to #59, his body was found in the debris. Of course, we all know how accurate the media is...
