He works at Publix Super Market at Hampton Cove, the newspaper reported.

I hope he remembers to double bag.

Great! The first Sci-Fi item they can tax is Project Blue Book.

Sci Fi tax to support NASA? How about romance novel tax to support our divorce courts? Or maybe mystery novels to subsidize the police?

This is probably the silliest idea I've heard in awhile...... and it's a Republican candidate with this taxing idea!! If he gets elected I'll be REALLY scared.....

I wonder if this will be retroactive like the proposed slave reparations...

All those XMen comics in my mother's basement......

Maybe if we built a time machine.......

Going after sci-fi geeks and nerds would be a BAD idea. They are arguably crazier & more rabid than muslims and a thousand times more clever.

It would be unconstitutional. Taxation is a form of control. Taxation based on literary content would violate the First Ammendment.

I like it! In fact, I propose a 1% tax on pornography to fund Congress.

Taxes are usually a bad thing, and NASA could use some 'reforming', but, if this tax were enacted, and poles were taken of all tax victims, you would probably see the most affirmative response for this sci-fi/NASA tax.

My personnal opinion is that taxes should be simple and obvious, and this would not qualify.

How about a 1% tax on politicians to combat noise pollution and mental illness.

How about a tax on lawyers to fund prosecution of perjury?

How about a tax on politicians to fund prosecution of kickbacks?

How about a tax on reporters to fund removal of old tired bumbling "journalists"?

Good start! That would wipe out the New Dork Whines, The Washington Compost, CNN, and the major nutworks.

Actually an interesting idea.

The thing is that the government lumps all their funds together. If they set up an enterprise fund and let NASA subsist off that alone this might work.
