" In short, the influence of the great charlatan induced the Council to say something very much like “this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.” Indeed, can it not be said that Vatican II was the Church’s own Woodstock, a kind of ecclesial walk on the wild side, with its own “spirit of Woodstock” which came to be known as the “spirit of Vatican II”?

I like easy questions, so, I'll take this one. NO.

No, Vatican II was an Infallible Ecumenical Council. As a soi disant "traditionalist," you SHOULD know that each Ecumencial Council is infallible by its nature. I mean, what do you folks call it when all the Bishops gather together in union with the Pope to take decisions and teach?

No, an Infallible Ecumenical Council is not equivalent to a secular rock concert held in a field in New York.

Next time, stay away from the Brown Acid....

You could get a pastoral council whose documents are merely advisory and do not bear the weight of infallible pronouncenments, and hence are not protected by the Holy Ghost from error. This is what Vatican II was.

Worse still, you could get a 'robber council' like Ephesus.
