I guess there will still be people who claim Arafat is a man of peace.

Captured Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti has told Israeli interrogatorsBoy, these Mossad guys are great! If we had let them work on those AlQuada in Gitmo, Osama and Mullah Omar would be out of the picture by now.

Yasser Arafat personally approved weapons funding for attacks against IsraelisSince he's already received the Nobel Peace Prize once, I suppose he'll get some kind of prize for stimulating the Iranian economy.

BTW, I wonder if this is the opening salvo in strategy of breaking up the "unity" of the jihadist elements. I've seen speculation by some elements that Marwan Barghouti might be a logical replacement for Arafat. I thought at the time that certain elements might be trying to accelerate a rivalry. And I notice this article doesn't state that Barghouti actually accused Arafat--only that Sharon's office said he did.
I point this out only because there were articles a while back saying that the Israelis had a bill of lading (or maybe it was an actual order) for the Karin A. shipment that was personally signed by Arafat. Therefore, they don't really need Barghouti's accusation to prove that Arafat bought the weapons.
Arafat's got to be wondering...

Misspelled AlQuaeda though, but there are so many variations on the spelling no one could tell, right?

I still can't believe this is such a surprise. If it looks like a rat, smells like a rat, and acts like a rat...

look, arafat is involved, but i know the palestinian defense already: israel 'beat' it out of him, barghouti didn't want to say it but he didn't want to get slapped around, either.

If he didn't have the support of the leftist press, he just be a sick, violence-crazed, power-hungry, old racist killer. What's not to like? (sarcasm) Arab*FAT Arab*RAT -- it all adds up to the same. Will we ever get rid of this throwback to humanity's dark side? He gives Islam the bad name it apparently deserves.

Do you remember all that talk about how the Israeli's admitted a few years back to using torture? I'm surprised the article didn't say, Barghouti was not tortured. He has strong ties to both the Shin Bet and CIA. Sharon reportedly wants him to replace Arafat. What are you smoking?

Yesterday Michael Savage was all over this report. Savage says that it is time for Arafat to go .... and the fact that Marwan Barghouti is spilling the beans shows their is wide-spread dissention among the Palis. Watch for a movement to depose Arafat .... His methods are failing and all the Arab leaders know it. All the old bugger wants to do is posture in front of the cameras and beg for dates.
Maybe a car bomb will go off?

He has strong ties to both the Shin Bet and CIA. Sharon reportedly wants him to replace Arafat. It's amusing that you know these purported facts, but Arafat doesn't.

Arafat seems confused by the old "Pull My Finger" trick.

Since this is the man that many thought would be the successor to Arafat, I don't think they would dare torture him to death. Maybe a little electroshock therapy but nothing to really kill him. On a side note it might be in his interest to cut Arafat's legs out from under him while claiming he was tortured.. maybe he's the man that can bring peace to these desperate people.

Who is that woman picking Arafat's nose?

The day that Arafat stops terrorism, will be the day that OJ finds the real killers
