A baby with 'layers of fat'? This genius needs to realize that babies NEED THAT FAT; they're growing very quickly and need fat reserves to provide energy for that growth. What a couple of horrible human beings. They both sound mentally ill. It's also very nice that they don't want the baby to breast-feed because the mom had smoked marijuana while she was pregnant. Now, that's a healthy lifestyle.

These parents of the year aren't going to get their hands on this baby. As soon as the child is delivered, Protective Services will take custody of that child and move to terminate the parental rights for both children. Why? Because dear old dad opened his mouth to the New York Post and gave the courts, Protective Services and prosecutors all the ammo they need.

I hope they both do substantial time. What they did to that poor child was attempted murder.

They do sound mentally ill and very uneducated. I knew of a teenage mother who would give her baby daughter only apple juice to drink because she wanted her to become a model someday so was trying to make her thin. Luckily for that one the grandmother babysat while the girl went to highschool and would feed the baby.

Take note of what they were feeding their baby: Ground nuts, fresh squeezed juices, herbal tea, beans, cod liver oil, and flax seed oil. She was not given formula or breast milk.

The complaint charges the baby had no teeth, low muscle tone, a distended abdomen and had difficulty moving her arms and legs.

This is just sick. A lot of women give birth at home, but after delivering a three-pounder wouldn't a normal parent's first instinct be to rush it to a hospital? That is SMALL. And fifteen months later she'd only gained seven pounds, and the father thinks that's just swell. And no explanation at all for why they wouldn't give the baby a soy formula if the mother's breast milk wasn't "pure" enough.

Yeah, I posted on another thread having to do with these granola-wackos. I think the both of them have a weird eating disorder. Their obsession with the baby's fat sounds like something similar to people who have anorexia nervosa. A total distortion of body image. The father obviously thinks a skinny, scrawny, rickety baby is a healthy baby.

If the baby didn't want "the food they're feeding her", she wouldn't be getting "fat" on it, now would she? I've little use for CPS; I've even less use for these 'vegan' idiots. Mama smoked a joint, so she wasn't 'pure' enough to breast feed? WTF? A little THC in your milk isn't going to do anywhere near as much harm as malnutrition. Where's my 2x4???

Yes, they do...and while this child may eventually make a good physical recovery from her abuse, she may never catch up with other children her age mentally or otherwise.
