Dan, the AP says she's a 'practicing Catholic'. She very likely makes the same claim. Anyone who understands the Catholic (or any
other Christian) teachings regarding homosexuality, would say that she is living in a state of unrepented, habitual, serious sin. In other words, she and the AP aren't telling the truth. Why hasn't she been excommunicated? I'm not sure where she's from. If she's from the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska she
has been excommunicated, as have all other members of "Dignity", "Call to Action", "Catholics for Free Choice", and a handful of other unrepentantly heretical organisations. If she's from someplace else, the reason is that her bishop, unlike Bp. Fabian Bruskewicz, is a wimp. Does that cover it?
