Exactly - the line 'we are just like Republicans' is the Trojan Horse. They have used that logic successfully thorughout the 90's ( Witness Grover Nyquist and his GOP islam Group). Agreeing on a very superfical level with conservatives' criticisms of US society is a simple way to gain favor.
