BOMBSHELL IN BRIDGEPORT
NRO | 05/09/02 | Rod Dreher

Posted on 05/09/2002 9:24:27 AM PDT by Psalm 73

BOMBSHELL IN BRIDGEPORT: [Rod Dreher] Acting on a request by The New York Times, a judge in Bridgeport, Conn., has agreed to unseal documents in the priest sex-abuse cases handled by then-bishop Edward Egan, who was bitterly criticized by victims of Bridgeport priests for the way he handled these cases, and treated them in litigation. The documents will be made public a week from today. A priest who has personal knowledge of what's in those files told me recently, "If the judge unseals them, Cardinal Egan will find himself in as much trouble with the people of New York as Cardinal Law is in in Boston." Barring a successful appeal, we shall see in seven days.

Gee, who would of thought the major mainstream churches and temples were little more than job corps for homosexuals the past twenty years? Heck, if one of these holyrollers wasn't lisping his way through the gospel I was shocked, shocked I tell you. I was just mostly disapointed in the tacky funishing of the pews and such. I though gays had more taste. Maybe just church gays are bad homekeepers.

Sarcasm is great when it's humorous.
When it's not, well, it's just plain tacky...

Catholic bishops are chosen on what basis?

a. Saintliness?
b. Character?
c. Management ability?
d. Allegiance?

I'd say that allegiance is mot important to the Pope, with character and saintliness being naively assumed as "given."

"The cleansing continues....."

Yes, and each new revelation makes me sicker and sicker.
And Cardinal Law says under oath "I can't recall", like, how many times yesterday?
That is just plain arrogant. And sick, sick, sick.

"Sorry I failed, I was trying to be insulting."

Yeh, nice touch - you must be a real hoot at funerals.
