This is a rural area in central Illinois. Out of curiosity, where did you come across this article from the Pontiac (Illinois) Leader?

I'm curious too. As I recall, Pontiac used to be about 10K people, including the prisoners and the Daily Leader wasn't hardly big enough to line your bird cage. Must be quite the story there.

Your memory is pretty good! This happened in Fairbury which is an even smaller farm town.
The Prairie Central school district is a fairly large consolidation of that area's community schools.
