There's little doubt that BMW makes some of the best and best-handling cars in the world; however, stuffing BMW bones, muscle and sinew into an updated Morris Minor skin makes me wonder: Who's gonna buy this? Is this a chick car or the latest next auto cult thing? Your bones may be the best in the world, but if you look like Hillary on the outside, who's gonna want to ............?

The four-cylinder, 115-horsepower engine has plenty of pickup and makes one wonder why anyone would need the Mini Cooper S model, which has 160-horse and goes 0 to 60 mph 11/2 seconds faster.

Hmmmm...sounds good to me! One of my neighbors has a real Mini. I think it would fit in the back of my F-150!

I saw these three weeks ago at a demo for dealers in AC. It's more like a PT Cruiser Jr. than a real Mini-Cooper. More pep than a PT Cruiser but not anywhere near a real Mini. The interior is more like a PT Cruiser than anything else, imho.

They are competing for the PT Cruiser, new VW Beetle market share.
