But to underestimate the way Americans have related to Pres. Bush and his honesty and general approach to the job is THEIR mistake. His approval remains high in spite of all these never-ending "stories". Even Greta Van Susteren said she felt appalled at the things Democrats have been saying this week, that it is highly inappropriate about ANY president.

That's all true, but who do you think Greta will vote for come November?

And haven't we learned not to rely on polls? We pretty much expected Bush to beat Gore decisively based on most polls, but instead the popular vote was lost and the more important electoral vote barely won. Whatever the reason, the fact remains that Democrats know how to squeeze every bit of mileage out of the electorate. I'm not trying to be a spoil-sport, just staying cautious and aware of the enemy. They fight nasty, they have most of the media and popular culture on their side, and frankly, I don't trust that a decisive segment of the voting public will stay chaste from the Democrat's advances.
