This 2 year old thread (proudly cited above by Roscoe, thanks Roscoe!) says it all.

Roscoe's reaction to the libertarian abolitionist Lysander Spooner in this old thread reveals far more about the inner programming of the roscoe-bot than the end-less Rights of Society looping that he has been treating us to lately.

One might conclude from the thread that someone like Roscoe--who needs Judge Rhenquist to tell him right from wrong and froth-mouthingly labels the operators of the underground railroad as terrorists--is beyond hope.

But, ironically, hidden within the stories of John Brown and Lysander Spooner there may be hope for criminals like Roscoe:

John Brown was a fanatical religious zealot. Though Brown's abolitionist cause was just, Brown's conviction as to the justice of his cause was much more the result of the "Holy Spirit" than it was the result of principles of reason, nature, or conscience--which was the source of the convictions of many other abolitionists like Spooner.

If a religious nut like John Brown can figure out right from wrong (by whatever means), then roscoe-bot should be re-programmable to figure it out too. My guess is we just have to reload and re-execute roscoe-bot's scary-preacher initialization functions with code that tells roscoe-bot that he will burn in hell if he keeps mindless-ly following orders issued by criminal bigots like Judge Rhenquist (and his forebears).

Someone needs to invite Roscoe to the next libertarian evangelist tent meeting that rolls into town. When Roscoe finds out about God's punishment for crimes (including traditional crimes), he will likely have a road-to-Damascus-like conversion and be bot-ting for the rights of the individual forthwith.

John Brown was a fanatical religious zealot.

And murderer who rejected the law.

Lysander was his groupie.

Roscoe's "group rights" sophistry is simply rationalization for theft and murder.

In September of 2001 "conservative" political commentator Ann Coulter wrote an article in which she said, "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

Although I think Ann Coulter is a lunatic she at least has the courage of her convictions to admit her real agenda. Roscoe, on the other hand, prefers to engage in sophistry to conceal his. There can be only one reason Roscoe advocates "group rights" and government school. Government schools would provide an ample supply of potential converts.

Back in June I posed the following question:

Should there be coerced participation in prayer-time at the beginning of each school day? Suppose other children in the class don't ascribe to the same religion. Is that just too bad in your view?

Texasforever answered 'yes.' (link)

All this nonsense about "group rights" and calling people America-haters and Constitution-haters is simply cover for religious fanaticism. It's about using coercive government force to advance a particular religion.

People enlist the coercive force of the state to achieve what they are unable to attain morally in the free-market. When you hear somebody advocate "group rights" or government force to advance their cause it's because they want to sell you something you wouldn't otherwise buy.

I was amused (but not suprised) that Roscoe attempted to equate abolitionists with terrorists on that other thread.

If Roscoe were alive in the South in 1850 he'd probably try to peddle his "societal rights" nonsense to rationalize away slavery.
