It makes one wonder how much information Condit could obtain about local crime investigations for a possible copy-cat crime. He is just too creepy.

But I don't see the motive. He seems to have had a lot of affairs. How could his wife not know what was going on? Even if Chandra threatened to go to his wife about the affair, how would that threaten either his marriage or his political career?

Condit was into some pretty freaky things, that I am sure Chandra knew about. She wasn't as cooperative as Condit's other women. But you are right about Condit's wife, she is as bad as Joey Buttafuco's wife, but everyone has their limits and maybe Condit thought his wife had reached her's.

Wasn't Chandra supposedly looking up the site of some castle or something the day after she was last seen? Is it anywhere near where she was found?

If so she could have been sneaking to the "castle", to either meet Condit or catch him with someone else, when this wacko got her.

Confidential from Sherlock - If Condit were involved in a sex club and Chandra threatened to blow the whistle on the group, a number of powerful politicians would have been motivated to silence here forever. Another young woman died under the same circumstances, sworn to secrecy, and she worked near Condit's office.

That's only because there IS no motive. Condit is a Dim AND a "unfaithful husband" (although his wife doesn't give a damn),and that's all the "evidence" the vast majority of FR posters to these threads need to convict him. I can absolutely guarantee if Condit's last name were "Bush",the only outrage would be about his being "unfairly accussed".

The fact remains that a dead Levy is and was MUCH more of a danger to Condit than one alive and screaming. Nobody seems to be willing to let this little factoid ruin their little reindeer games,though.
