Condit's Calendar

June 29 — Following is a timeline of what sources close to Gary Condit say his movements were in the week leading up to Chandra Levy's disappearance. Levy was last seen on Monday, April 30, when she canceled her membership at a Washington health club

Saturday, April 28
Carolyn Condit, the congressman's wife, arrives from California at 7:30 p.m. ET. Rep. Condit, with a staffer because he has no car, picks her up at the airport. They go to a Xando coffee shop.

Sunday, April 29
Rep. Condit has brunch with his wife, and they go shopping in his Adams Morgan neighborhood. At noon, the Condits go to his office. They leave the office and take the subway to an Italian grocery in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, where they buy food, go home and cook dinner.

Monday, April 30
Staff pick him up for work. At 11:30 a.m. ET, he goes to the White House with other members of Congress for lunch and the announcement of a budget agreement. At 1:30 p.m. ET, Condit and the other members of Congress head back to their Capitol Hill offices. At 5:30 p.m. ET, Condit leaves work, heads home and eats dinner with his wife.

Tuesday, May 1
Condit rides with staff to the office in the morning. At 12:30 p.m. ET, he meets with Vice President Dick Cheney. He returns at 3:30 p.m. for meetings and phone conversations with constituents. At 5 p.m., Condit has a doctor's appointment. At 6:30 p.m., he votes on the House floor. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., he meets with a reporter at the Tryst restaurant in Adams Morgan. Later, he and the wife stay home and eat dinner.

Wednesday, May 2
Condit rides into work with staff and attends Agriculture Committee and Select Intelligence Committee meetings. At 11:30 a.m., Condit casts votes on the House floor. At noon, he participates in a meeting with Democratic congressional leaders. At 2:30 p.m., he returns to the Intelligence Committee. Later, he casts several votes on the House floor before heading home for dinner with his wife at 5:30 p.m. After dinner, they go shopping at an "Off The Wall" store.

Thursday, May 3
Condit checks into the office at 9:30 a.m. before heading off to an Agriculture Committee meeting. At 10:30 a.m., he participates in a conference call on California water issues before heading to the House floor. At noon, he meets with Minority Whip Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Sometime around 1 p.m., a staffer takes Mrs. Condit to the airport. A half-hour later, Condit arrives for a Commerce Committee meeting on energy costs. Later that day, Condit attends an Intelligence Committee meeting at 2:45 p.m. From 4 p.m. until perhaps later than midnight, Condit goes back and forth between his office and the House floor for budget votes.

This is the verbatim written timeline submitted by Condit to ABC news back on June 28th 2001. On May 1st, of course we know that Condit only met with Cheney until 12:55. He stated he didn't return to the office until 3:30PM. That meeting at 6:30PM actually took place the next day. 5PM doctor's appointment, Condit has not shed any light on at all. He has a ton of unaccounted for time during that day.

He is quiet because he is waiting to see what comes out first. He is hiding something...

With the wife in town, an excellent plan to meet Chandra would be to say "I'm going out for a jog in Rock Creek Park" (adjacent to Condit's apartment).

Too vague. I would look carefully at this time frame. Name names of constituents he spoke with.

The DC police is ran by politics, it is obvious as they have not torn apart this alibi step by step.

Now they will have to go further but unless their is video tape of the murder... and ties to a dumping of body payoff with video...Condit is off the hook. I still say they had wild kinky sex,she died on accident and Condit dumped her body, or she threatened to out the affair and he lost his evil temper and killed her and dumped the body to make it look like a park killing.

Right out of Hillarys handbook.

What ticked me off was Geragos on Greta's show Thursday. He claimed that Condit was innocent of course, but refused to give a fuller completed timeline of Condit for May 1st under the grounds that it may hurt the police investigation.

How would an innocent man stating that he was in his office, or eating lunch, etc... hurt the investigation?

Condit is guilty. This has convinced me of it without one shadow of a doubt. There is not a good reason for Geragos/Condit to withhold info that would exonerate him.

We know now that Chandra was killed, where she was killed, and around when she was killed. If Condit didn't do it, wasn't involved, he would be cleared by most if he just came out and said what he was doing between 1PM until the next morning.

So, Condit and Geragos would rather him remain a suspect of physically killing Chandra rather than divulge that he was in the house gym, or eating pasta for lunch? That makes no sense whatsoever. There is not a logical basic rationalization for an innocent Condit to do this. There simply isn't.

No. We know where she was found, not where she was killed. Nor when.

Jumping to conclusions is unwise.

Anyone know where he was?

Also, has anything more come to light about a call Condit purportedly made from Luray, VA to Ann Marie Smith on 5/17/01?

Excellent point. Thanks for reposting this for refresher purposes.

On FOX they just announced that Chandra paged Condit 28 times over the last 48 hours before she vanished. That is some heavy duty paging.

She then calls Aunt Linda with big news... and vanishes. Changing your mind yet Fred?

You are correct. It is a conclusion to jump to, but it is the most logical one. The fact that Condit still won't fess up to where he was from 1-3:30PM right at the time Chandra dropped off the face of the earth is quite interesting though.

I have been watching Tony Snow on Fox. He had a detective on saying he believes Chandra was dumped at this site.
One thing that leads him to believe this is THEY FOUND CHANDRA'S STRETCH PANTS TIED IN A KNOT.
He thinks she was killed somewhere else then tied with her pants and rolled down the hill.

My big thing has been consciousness of guilt. Condit keeps acting like he did it, and the rational reasons for it are floating away. He doesn't have the problem of worrying about his other mistresses coming out, he doesn't have to worry about his career any more, the only thing Condit hasn't lost yet has been his freedom.

So why not just say, Hey... I met with Dick Cheney until about 1... I went to the house cafeteria, and had lunch with my aide until about 1:45... I worked out in the house gym right after that, until 2:45... grabbed a shower, got dressed, and headed to the office. I was in meetings and on the phone with Mr X, and MRs Y at the time as my phone records and appointment books will show.

That would be so easy for Condit to do. Condit chooses to rack up lawyer fees, and have the media hound him instead. Why, if he isn't guilty. I encourage any of the Condit defenders remaining to just explain why Condit won't fill out his timeline for that afternoon if he didn't do it.

I saw Condit on his knees praying and I asked him if he were praying for Chandra,"Hell no," he replied,"I'm praying for another terrorist attack"

Washington Post reports today that the police found Chandra's sunglasses on a path 125-150 yards from her remains. So this narrows down the time frame a bit, since she wouldn't be wearing sunglasses at night.

Also, when she went missing she was wearing three items of jewelry: Gold bracelet. Gold ring with initials. Gold necklace with pendant (hand with diamond). Is this normal jogging attire for Washington interns? Or did she want to look pretty for someone she was supposed to meet? The Washinton Times reported the police found the ring with her remains, but no details on the other pieces of jewelry.

Also, did the police find Chandra's keys with her remains?

Since the perp had to haul the body to hide it (I'm assuming she was killed in the park), is it possible that he tied her arms/wrists together (after she was killed) so that he could more easily drag her body to the hiding place? The perp probably didn't want to look too obvious by using a fireman's carry with her limp body. And if someone approached he could lie down next to her body, looking like two love birds in the park.

Thanks for indulging my random thoughts.
