"Judge Cudahy's apology is corrective action," Posner said in response to the request for an investigation made by the House Judiciary Committee chairman, Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., and Rep. Howard Coble, R-N.C.

Posner and Cudahy are members of the Chicago-based U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. Cudahy is also a member of the special division of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

Cudahy is a lifelong Democrat and former chairman of the Wisconsin State Democratic Party

Any guesses on who was the 'reporter' who was used for this attack on the OIC?

Why, PETE YOST- who else!!!!!!

New grand jury to hear evidence in Lewinsky case By Pete Yost

"The news angered Democrats on the night Vice President Al Gore was to accept the party's presidential nomination at its convention in Los Angeles. ''It's probably just another Republican dirty trick,'' Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., said. ...
''The timing of this leak reeks to high heaven,'' White House spokesman Jake Siewert said. ''Given the record of the Office of the Independent Counsel, the timing is hardly surprising.'' ...''People are sick and tired of seeing the judicial system manipulated for political purposes,'' Gore spokesman Doug Hattaway said.
...Last year, one of the three judges, Richard Cudahy, said the ''endless investigation'' should be shut down"

The OIC, of course, was prevented by law from commenting.

Pete Yost TM (DNC) is owned by the Dems.
AP gave him a nice promotion for defending Clinton's attacks on Americans' right to a fair trial.

When you read Pete Yost, you're reading the Dem line, every time.

How convenient, another democrap declining to investigate. As I recall, Cudahy was very vocal in defense of his boy, Bill, for years. Then he claims an inadvertent word to a reporter, Pete Yost. How cute.

This is from Yost's article:

"The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press that the grand jury was empaneled on July 11."

This is from Cudahy:
"Cudahy said in August 2000 that he inadvertently told an Associated Press reporter..

I'll bite...which is it ?
