[history]
She surrenders to the second piece of pizza, then turns the subject to her favorite demon. Those who remember her radio show would recognize how her voice cracks slightly as it rises. "The left is in control of our political culture. They have thoroughly intimidated the media. As a gay woman, I'm pleased that Ellen had a TV show, but you'll absolutely never see a TV show about a woman who's an anti-abortion Christian. It will not happen, even though there are more of those people in the country than gay people."

The article is quite a bit longer than this - click
here to see it. Even though I found this at
FrontPage Magzine, they cite a copyright on it to the Los Angeles Times, so I won't quote the bulk of it here.
Tammy's book on The New Thought Police is a good read. She tells many a story about the laughably leftist bias of the lame stream media.

The article itself is a good read too. While I disagree with the bulk of viewpoints, it's good to know that she has seen the light concerning politcal correctness gone rampant.

Someone must be in a heap of trouble at the Times for writing a piece like this! I can't believe that they'd allow this kind of story to get loose. Not only does it make mainstream liberals look
really bad and say generally nice things about conservatives and libertarians, but it shows an apostate liberal like The Tammy in a very good light.
I wonder what this looked like before the editors got to it!

The book is great. She makes excellent points about NOW's anti-male bias, and the new totalitarianism of the Left.

She makes excellent points about NOW's anti-male bias,
Yes, she does. I was in NOW (Atlanta Chapter - member board of directors and Assistant Editor of the Newsletter) when this transformation took place. I am quite definitely male (which I say because I realize my handle here is ambiguous). When the radical male-bashers took over, around the time of Karen DeCrow and Ellie Schmeal, I left. Tammy knows of what she speaks.

For sure.
To: ThePythonicCow
Hasn't Schmeal had her fingerprints all over NOW for years? And can't she just walk on into retirement wearing those comfortable and sensible shoes?

Hasn't Schmeal had her fingerprints all over NOW for years?
Yup. She was the "power behind the thrown" during Karen DeCrows tenure as president, in the late 1970's before taking the position herself in Philapdelphia, about 1977 as I recall.

One thing you gotta give 'em.... They have longevity.

An update to this story.
Larry Elder read this piece and devoted a segment to this statement from The Tammy...
"A majority of gays, I believe, have their first sexual experience as a minor with a gay adult, and almost every gay and lesbian knows that's true. We need to be willing to address that."
Yet another "thought crime" from The Tammy!

Isn't it funny how the original "agenda" (at least portrayed to the public as equal pay for equal work) has transmogrified?
Personally, I've never met a "transgendered" person and I've yet to meet anyone who has. I'm sure that most women - who have Dads, husbands and sons in their lives - have no sympathy for NOW's anti-male bias.
