18 percent of the witnesses said the plane turned right, while another 18 percent said the plane turned left. Twenty percent said they didn't see any smoke, while 22 percent said they did.
Again, this is not surprising. And given the clumsiness of interviews, I wouldn't be surprised if the questions were imprecise.

This reminds me of the old Three Stooges gag where Curly and Moe are facing each other arguing over which wall is the left wall. Left and right are positional, not absolute directions, like North, South, etc. Totally depends on whether they were claiming the planes left or the viewer's left.
