Israeli Forces Enter Ramallah
RAMALLAH, West Bank- Israeli forces entered the West Bank town of Ramallah early Monday, witnesses said, but did not immediately enter Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's headquarters.
Witnesses saw one tank, three armored personnel carriers and several jeeps enter the town. Ten soldiers were seen moving between buildings near the Amari refugee camp, next to Ramallah.
Israeli military sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said soldiers were planning to arrest terrorist suspects, working from lists prepared in advance. The sources would not say whether troops planned to enter Arafat's compound.
Witnesses heard several explosions as the Israeli soldiers moved in. Soldiers entered a house hear the Amari camp as two trucks waited nearby, they said. Also, troops moved through the Ramallah suburb of Beituniyah.
On Thursday, Israeli forces crashed through the outer wall of Arafat's headquarters compound and blew up three buildings inside, part of Israel's response to the bombing or a bus in Israel's north, killing 17 people.
The Monday incursion followed Arafat's naming of a new, streamlined Cabinet, cutting the number of ministers from 31 to 21. It came a few hours before Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was to meet in Washington with President Bush.
The Israeli military sources said the Ramallah incursion was similar to others in the West Bank, aimed at arresting terror suspects. Such operations have been an almost nightly occurrence in West Bank towns and villages since Israel ended a six-week assault on the West Bank a month ago, after a previous series of Palestinian suicide bombing attacks.

Another transparent bluff. The Israelis are almost as impotent as the republican party.

It would be funny if they bulldozed everything but the shi*ter.

Its odd that the media is covering it pretty well this time, when they raided his compound a couple of days ago after that bus bombing, the media hardly covered it at all, and that was when I thought that there was a good chance of the Israelies actually killing him.

Y-A-W-N is right. How many "Israeli Forces Enter Ramallah" threads must we endure before something concrete actually comes of it?

How many "Israeli Forces Enter Ramallah" threads must we endure before something concrete actually comes of it? The better question is how long until anything good comes out of Israeli policy?

and if they did finish the job israel would end up being attacked by almost every arab nation. (maybe)Well, not if Israel did it so quickly before anyone else can do anything about it.
A good example would be the uprising in Hungary in 1956, in which the West was powerless to do anything about it. Or how about 1989 in China, I'm sure you know about that one too.

They'll be attaced eventually, and right now Israel has greater military capabilities than all other arab countries combined, so Israel might as well get things over with before that situation changes. In the words of
Patrick Henry, "The war is inevitable -- and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come."
