Action Alert
Take Action The UN opposes Mother's Day!
Tell the Senate to REJECT the UN's CEDAW!
Enjoy this year's Mother's Day. According to the Family Research Council (frc.org), if the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) has its way, the annual celebration will be our last.

Not only does the committee overseeing implementation of CEDAW argue to legalize prostitution, it also discourages motherhood in an attempt to level every kind of distinction between men and women at every level of society. Yet the Daschle Democrats in the U.S. Senate have suggested they may ratify the radical feminist group's proposition before the United Nations -- something even Bill Clinton's administration refused to do.

Five years ago, the CEDAW Committee rebuked Slovenia because "less than 30 percent of children under three years of age ... were in formal day care." Then, in 1999, the CEDAW Committee criticized Ireland for its constitution promoting "a stereotypical view of the role of women in the home and as mothers." The list goes on and on.

Believe it or not, CEDAW even found fault with the country of Belarus for "the continuing reintroduction of such symbols as a Mother's Day." And now Senate Democrats want to ratify CEDAW.

Despite their professed goal to end gender discrimination, the group is obviously anti-family and anti-mother. Their agenda is an offense to family values and deserves nothing more than the Bush administration's disdain -- particularly in the upcoming Senate hearing.

Click "Go!" above to urge your Senators to publicly reject CEDAW's proposition and continue to hold the line in defending the principled beliefs and traditions of America's families!

HERE IS WHAT THE LIBERAL FEMINAZI'S ARE DOING TO GET THIS UN TREATY PASSED!

Action Alert Urge Senators on the Foreign Relations Committee to Ratify the International Women's Treaty

Next week on June 13th, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Senator Joseph Biden (D-DE) and Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), is expected to hold a hearing on the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).

If ratified, the treaty will strengthen women’s rights in the United States as well as globally. Please urge key members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to vote for CEDAW’s ratification.

THIS INTERPRETATION OF THE TREATY IS A LIE!

Imagine telling a Muslim their wives have to be able to abort their children. Would that make them love us more?

America is not oppressive, physically, but political correctness is oppressive mentaly.
No nation likes being told , by force, to think as the liberals think.
It creates hate, violence, and war.
The world will only take it for so long before they decide to shut America up once and for all.
It's not our place to get involved in their social lives unless they ask.
The liberals want to dominate the world with their beliefs. The world will grow to hate us for it.

The effect of passage in the UN would be to do away with all morality in the nations under the UN, and make the UN the governing force even in the US. The power of the UN has been steadily growing in the US. And, the UN is close to claiming it's prize.

Senate Hearing Set On UN Women's Discrimination Treaty

By Jim Burns
Senior Staff Writer
June 04, 2002

www.CNSNews.com - (CNSNews.com) - A Senate committee hearing on a United Nations
treaty to address gender discrimination is set for later this month,
Capitol Hill sources tell CNSNews.com. The treaty, titled the "Convention on the Elimination
of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women," has drawn criticism
from conservative groups.

Sources say the hearing will be
a FULL Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing
that will be chaired by Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.)
on JUNE 13 at 9:30 am.

A spokesman for Boxer would only say that a hearing is being talked about for around that time but would not comment further.

Other sources tell CNSNews.com that Bush administration officials are trying to avoid testifying before the committee on the issue, because the administration was initially in favor of the treaty and now appears to be backing off.

Sources also say the administration is trying to get Boxer to call off the hearing but it does not appear that she is agreeing.

The White House did not return phone calls seeking comment.

The treaty known as "CEDAW" was adopted in 1979 by the full United Nations General Assembly. President Jimmy Carter signed it in 1980. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed it on September 29, 1994, but the full Senate has not ratified it.

It is often described as an "international bill of rights for women" and consists of a preamble and 30 articles and defines what constitutes discrimination against women and sets up an agenda to end such discrimination.

165 countries have signed the treaty thus far and that legally binds them to implement its provisions.

The Convention defines discrimination against women as "any distinction, exclusion or restriction made on the basis of sex which has the effect or purpose of impairing or nullifying the recognition, enjoyment or exercise by women, irrespective of their marital status," in any field of endeavor.

When countries signed the treaty they agreed to make women and men equal in their legal system, abolish all discriminatory laws and adopt appropriate ones prohibiting discrimination against women.

The United Nations in a statement said the treaty is "the only human rights treaty which affirms the reproductive rights of women and targets culture and tradition as influential forces shaping gender roles and family relations."

"It affirms women's right to acquire, change or retain their nationality and the nationality of their children," the UN said on its website.

Countries that have ratified or acceded to the Convention must submit national reports, at least every four years to the UN, on measures they have taken to comply with their treaty obligations.

The Concerned Women for America, a conservative women's group, is against Senate ratification of the treaty.

"Women in the United States have the right to vote. They are fully participating members of society, protected by the federal Civil Rights Code and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as well as state civil rights codes and state employment commissions," the CWA said in a statement on its website.

"The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women is flawed.
The US Senate must not ratify it.
At its best, CEDAW is unnecessary.
At its worst, CEDAW unravels America's families
and forces women to model themselves after global feminists' ideal image,"
the group concluded.

But Amnesty International (AI), a liberal human rights group, thinks the Senate should quickly ratify the treaty.

"The United States has already ratified other human rights treaties, including one banning discrimination on the basis of race. The United States should show leadership in the battle against discrimination against women as well, and (treaty) ratification is one way to do it," according to Amnesty International.

"Women in other countries also need the United States to speak loudly and clearly in support of the treaty, so that it can be used more effectively in their struggles. Without US support and ratification, other governments can easily ignore the Convention's mandate and their obligations under it," AI concluded.

Did Slovenia say " Thank you for sending us to work and forcing our children into daycare"?

Did Ireland say " Thank you for trying to break up our home"

Did these countries praise America for it? No. They probably HATED us for it, and the hate of America grows more and more each day.
Who elected liberals as their Gods?

The anti-Christ comes on a white horse of peace and love. War follows him. Then famine and disease.

Those who support this political correctness propaganda of peace and love are creating hate and war.
Even the elite would be decieved, if it were possible.

Sample Letter to Senate, Biden, Boxer + your Senators.

As your constituent, I am writing to urge you to reject any attempt to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

Not only does the committee overseeing implementation of CEDAW argue to legalize prostitution, it also discourages motherhood in an attempt to level every kind of distinction between men and women at every level of society. Yet some members of the U.S. Senate have suggested they may ratify this radical group's proposition before the United Nations -- something every Presidential administration has refused to do.

Believe it or not, CEDAW even found fault with the country of Belarus for "the continuing reintroduction of such symbols as a Mother's Day." And now some Senators want to ratify CEDAW.

Despite their professed goal to end gender discrimination, the group is obviously anti-family and anti-mother. Their agenda is an offense to family values and should be rejected outright in the upcoming Senate hearing, and any subsequent votes in the full Senate.
Thank you.
