Was in Maine a couple of weeks ago. Saw a lot of political ads. Cianchette and Baldacci were running almost identical ads. Seems to me like Baldacci is the man to beat.
BTW, the relatives I was visiting are liberal as hell. It was agony listening to them spew and not say anything that would spoil the visit.

Read your profile page. Seems you're fighting a losing battle on the smoking issue. As a recent visitor, (from Wisconsin)I was appalled by the anti-smoking ordinances(never have smoked, but don't begrudge those who do).

Since the liberal relatives were singing the praises of Baldacci, I had figured he was the 'Rat. They sure were bashing King. From the way it sounded, he had single-handedly ruined the economy.

Well, I just have been the President of Forces Maine one year this August. So, anything the anti's want to further screw us with in the future, they will have me to deal with.
Believe it.

King was a PBS commentator from away who loved to spend
the surplus but the slowdown caught up to him
He blames it on a lack of revenue from capital gains.

Can't find the unopposed #'s, it will be interesting
to see how many "leave it blank for olympia" votes Collins
doesn't get.
