There is something strange about this 'kidnapping'. If the screen was cut from the inside, the uncle does not want Klass involved, or the artist to put together a portrait from the 9 year old sister....is it possible that Elizabeth Smart was a willing run away, having some fascination or connection with some male? Is it possible that the family has some inkling of this? This would not be an unusual scenario. Since she is a minor if the guy is an adult, he is still in for lots of trouble. But...it may not be a true kidnapping for nefarious purposes. They might think they are in 'love'.
