I guess I am not so optimistic. In the end, Dubya's me too policies are a sign of weakness. Such policies (though now sold as a strategy to "win back" the Senate) didn't work under Eisenhower, Nixon, and Bush I, all of whom presided over Democratic congresses year after year. Unfortunately, Dubya's fate will probably be the same. For what is worth (I hope I am wrong), I supsect that Dubya will be probably be facing a Democratic Senate *and* House next year.
