HARTFORD -- Laws that allow police to confiscate guns in cases of domestic violence will be better enforced with the help of a new centralized computer system, the state's victim advocate said Monday.

If local departments do not have manpower to confiscate handguns, they could ask the state police for help taking the weapons,

Why in the world would there be a problem with confiscating weapons? Can't they just tell the peasant to turn them over? Har!

Papillo said some police departments are not aware that subjects of restraining orders must surrender their handguns in two business days.

Because as we all know, one can kill someone only with a handgun.
