To: Mom_Grandmother The area in the future will be so populated by Mexicans, that is how he thinks it will be given to them. The Mexican people are like the Palestinians, he said. 7 posted on 6/21/02 8:52 PM Central by Mom_Grandmother

Ive been waiting for someone to come forward and make this claim! HAHAHA! What a war there will be if someone tries to hand over Texas to mexico! Texans take no bull from government types, and they sure are not going to hand over their land! This would be like Nelson' Mandella and his evil empire killing ranchers and farmers so that the land goes back to black africans.

I wrote an answer to someone close to Fox just today about this. I believe before we hand over one inch of American soil, Americans will show them what is was that our ForeFathers were made of, they will lose....again! Americans will become Mexico's worst nightmare before they ever hand over any part of this nation, this is what I believe. I could be wrong, but I believe in my heart that we still have the fighting blood of our ancestors running through our veins.

Texas fought & won independence from Mexico. While there was some argument over the Rio Nueces vs. the line Rio Grande -Rio Bravo (del norte).

That was settled, along with cession of NM, (current) AZ and CA, in the 1848 Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty plus 15 million dollar payment for Mexican property claims.
Everything was consolidated with the Gadsden Purchase in '54 (?) The Mexican Congress ratified both the peace treaty and the purchase, their claims are zero, nothing left to talk about.

Not so fast! The "neo-Confederates" here on FR will tell you that if the people of any state want to secede from the Union, they have the right to do so and NO ONE can stop them.

Let's be consistent.
