No, the "Aztlan" types see it differently. They consider that they are descended from the indigenous peoples who lived here before the "Conquista". Therefore, it all ought to go back to THEM.

The fact that, with some few exceptions, the population of Mexico is "mestizo"--a mixture of Amerind and European blood--seems to be missing from the argument.

Your point is well-taken in one sense, though: If there ever was a movement to "return" all the lands in the Earth to their "original inhabitants," it would make for some interesting paradoxes.
