I'm not a cold-hearted person, in fact, I wish to goodness I could reach out and help every person on earth that needed my help, but I can't. So I try to do the best I can to help those here in America, the folks that are put on the back-burner, ignored, passed over, taxed to death and some can't even pay to be buried.

I have watched many being turned down in our hospitals because they could not afford Health Ins. Most of these folks do make a good living, but they don't make enough to pay for Health Care and do not qualify for any Government Aide, go figure.

I have also seen people that should be taking Precription Medicine but they buy Over the Counter in hopes that they will get better.

JMHO: $24 Billion would go a long way in helping our people here at home in many ways. Why in G-D's name do we allow the American Government to ignore it's own in favor of a nation that breaks all of our laws, they are not intitled to our Tax dollars when we have Americans that need this money so desperately.

"I'm not a cold-hearted person"

I am.

I'd like to have my money back please.

I have bills to pay, and I'd like to put more away for my kid's education and for my retirement.

I earned it.

I went without health insurance for some years even though I could afford to pay for it!! Because I sought help for alcoholism and depression at a treatment center, I was labelled high risk and was rejected by all insurance companies. (That's what you get for seeking help I guess.) When I was finally able to buy health insurance (as a "high risk" person) the cost was very, very high. Meanwhile I would hear and read about illegal aliens receiving free medical care. That was the beginning of the end of my "liberal" tendencies. The country in which I was born didn't give a damn about my health. It cared more for those who don't belong here than it did for me. It still does.

"they are not intitled to our Tax dollars when we have Americans that need this money so desperately."

Your America first attitude is correct but take it a step further. The right answer is to demand a federal government which operates within the bounds of the Constitution. This would jettison all of the socialist give aways inside the US as well as foriegn aid.

Americans would keep the money they earn and could afford health care for themselves and charitable support for those who cannot.

Regards

O'Reilly had Bingaman on Thursday. What an interview!!!!!!

Bill held Bingamans' feet to the fire time after time. He kept asking him "The people sneak accross our boarders, and are here illegaly, and you want to FORCE me and EVERYONE WATCHING THIS SHOW to pay for their health care? Explain to me how that's fair. Bingaman ducked the question 3 times, and Bill pointed out that he had ducked it, and Bingaman DUCKED IT AGAIN!

I turned to Mrs. BaldEagle and said that O'Rielly has been sent by God. No one else has the gonads to do what he did. Bingaman has never been forced to defend this bill in front of millions, and he failed miserably.

There is nothing philanthropic about using other people's money to pay for the poor's healthcare. If you feel so strongly about this issue, start raising money for local charity clinics.

Well...maybe because Uncle Sam is really Uncle Chump? Not only that, he's a spendthrift and a wastrel. It's our money. For every dollar we give the government, they send back only 25 cents of it in "benefits." What a scam this is.

The sovereign States are better off keeping their money to spend on their own residents, minding their own business and sending the feds the 25 cents.

I cannot believe this is seriously being proposed. I'm pretty sure that the average American is just about at the breaking point concerning the immigration issue. If enough people become convinced that immigration is the single most important issue we face, and our elected representatives choose to ignore this concern, then something is going to give.

I'm hearing more and more people talking about the idea of a "general strike" against the government, specifically to protest current taxation and immigration policies. The basic feeling out there is that the government is too big, too powerful, is taking too much and continually demanding more. The average person is right about at the breaking point. This bill just might end up becoming the proverbial "straw that breaks the camel's back".

What would the government do if a majority of the working people in this country simply went on strike for a couple of weeks, or maybe a month? What would the government do? Where would they get their tax revenues from? Would they send out soldiers to force us all to work at gunpoint? What would the government do? Imprison everyone who refuses to work? Shoot them? Isn't that what the Soviets did?

I guess the bottom line is does the government work for us or do we work for the government? We all know what the government thinks the answer is.

Right now I'd like to see it go rebuild the WTC exactly as it was before only structurally stronger. Any leftover money to daisy cutters.

Exactly. The tax system in American is back asswards. We should be paying the MOST to the localities, and the LEAST to the feds.

I want it back in our own wallets. There is no damn reason in the world our funds need to travel through Washington to get back to us.

The truth is that by sending our money to Washington first, they can keep us under CONTROL !!!!! Of course that is the most important thing for them to do, isn't it ??????

Lap dances. Many of these young, nubile women are single mothers, working to support their children on a single income. I say,"WHERE is your compassion? Lap dances! It's for the chil-run!"

I'm pretty sure that the average American is just about at the breaking point concerning the immigration issue.

I'm pretty sure of the opposite. Mention immigration reform to the average American, and all you will get in return is a blank stare. Don't confuse the average American with the political junkies like us who hang out on political discussion sites. Most are completely unaware of what's going on,and happy about it. This is what the politicians count on,and unlike you and me who study politics as a hobby,THIS group of people earn their livings at it.
