Woman chained to bed, police say

FULLERTON -- A mom and dad decided Sunday to stop their 21-year-old daughter from seeing her married boyfriend by tying her to a bed with 30-pound chains, police said.

Guadalupe and David Mata admitted to locking their daughter with two "giant gate locks" to prevent her from going out, said Fullerton Police Lt. Danny Becerra.

"I guess these parents didn't approve of her dating this guy," Becerra said.

I'm with you... The first thing I tell any woman stupid enough to date a married man is to think how she will feel when SHE is the wife and he is doing it with someone else... and for any girl who runs into a married man who tries to date them- CALL HIS WIFE !!!

That is VERY bad advice for a number of reasons.

1. Some men may flirt but may not be trying to "date"... some women would be quick to assume... destroying a household isn't worth it.

2. Some men would go after them with revenge in mind.

3. Their home life is none of a potential "date's" business and she may not know all the circumstances. She can just say no and leave it at that.

      13-year-old has arrest record; mother, stepfather out on bail

 FRUITLAND -- Two parents charged with aggravated child abuse after
 an investigator reported finding their 13-year-old son chained to his
 bed are out on bail.
 

 The case began to unfold late Thursday afternoon when Putnam County
 Sheriff's Office Detective Julie Simms went to the home of Gregrio
 Jaramillo, 49, and Maria Aguilar, 42, to pick up the youth on a
 misdemeanor charge.

Fullerton couple is arrested on charges of false imprisonment after admitting to restraining her in bid to keep her from seeing married man.

The bid is now "chained her to the bed". Do I hear "chastity belt"? How about "sealed inside a window-less chamber"? "Involuntary commitment to a convent"?
