The radio report said it was someone Townshend has worked with - possibly on past projects. I didn't recognize the name...

Pino Palladino will be the bassist. He played bass on some of Townshend's solo albums, from what I hear. Could be a great bassist, but does he play the trumpet or french horn? Probably not. RIP to "The Ox." By the way, Entwistle recorded six solo albums, his first two, "Smash Your Head Agains the Wall," and "Whistle Rhymes," are classics.
