Racer Al Unser Jr. is seen in this July 9, 2002 sheriff's booking photo after being charged with domestic battery for allegedly hitting his girlfriend while she drove them home from an Indianapolis area strip club and then leaving her by the side of a highway. Unser, 40, a two-time Indy 500 winner was arrested at his trailer at the famed Indianapolis raceway and released on $30,000 bond. (Marion County Sheriff's Office/Reuters)

Soto told police she pulled to the side of the highway after Unser hit her, got out of the vehicle, and that Unser then drove away.

Unser first denied knowing Soto, police said. After being told of her accusations, Unser told police Soto had hit him first.

Sounds like a class act.
