BOYCOTT CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE TAMPA TRIBUNE
From the Tampa Bay Coalition for Justice and Peace, 7/9/02

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Tampa - For a long time now, the Tampa Tribune has allowed its Journalists to attack members of the Tampa Bay Islamic Community, with no actual substance to their claims. They have been relying heavily on unsubstantiated claims from unnamed sources and anonymous foreign intelligence agents with questionable motives. The standard that is being applied in this smear campaign clearly lacks journalistic integrity. This incitement against Muslims and Arabs has led to much personal and communal suffering and hardship, and their claims have yet to be proven...

A RALLY IS PLANNED FOR FRIDAY, JULY 12TH AT 4 P.M. NEAR THE TAMPA TRIBUNE BUILDING DOWNTOWN

From the Tampa Bay Coalition for Justice and Peace,

You have to laugh at the names they give themselves. "Justice and Peace."

Pathetic!!!

I suspect the wahhabists are pissed about the in-depth reporting The Trib has done on Sammi Al-Arian, et al, and that they cited evil Jews (Israeli intelligence officials) in so doing.

LOL at the picture!

It's gotten to the point where the words "justice" and "peace" together in one sentence can send me right over the edge. I was watching a movie the other day, one character suggested that he and his lady-love should look for a "justice of the peace", and I actually started to growl a little...

As have your claims of personal and communal suffering and hardship. Why don't you claim death threats from the evil hateful right while you're at it? Everyone else seems to be doing that lately...

The Tampa Trib's reporting on Al Arian and his brother has been courageous, considering the sympathy machine Sami & bro have going for it with the St. Pete's Times, and the misplaced community support (flogged by the Times) for Al Arian and brother.

I've always preferred the Tribune over the St. Pete Times, because the Times is the CNN of print journalism. This is just one more reason to continue reading the Trib! Janet Reno, Governor of Florida? Fat chance.

The Tribune is as liberal a rag as Pravda West (St. Pete Times), and I have been boycotting them for years.

I guess it's time to get a subscription to the Tribune just to pi$$ off the jihadist. I can use it for the bird cage.

Too true!

I've been considering letting my Trib subscription expire because I don't have enough time to read it, but now
I most certainly will keep subscribing!

I love it when the Times salespeople call trying to get me to switch, "oh the Times has won xyz awards, has the Tribune?" I reply: "maybe not, but I disagree with the Time's editorial positions and liberal slant." Ends the call in a heartbeat!!

Take care--GG

I know. It harkens me back to the LA riots, and chants of "NO JUSTICE----NO PEACE!!!"

The people who spewed that wanted neither anyway.

I remember this chant was used by some Democrat members of Congress, threatening that "Cities will burn this summer!" if they didn't get their way.

They should have been locked up for inciting riots, in my opinion.

....This incitement against Muslims and Arabs has led to much personal and communal suffering and hardship, [blah, blah, blah...]

This is yet one more incidence of the "victim act" being carried out by muslims all over the world.

Accoring to the practitioners of taqiyya--i.e., muslim lies--muslims are being "victimized" by Serbs and Macedonians in the Balkans, Jews in the Holy Land, Russians and Armenians in the Caucasus, Indians in Kashmir, local Christians in the Phillipines and Indonesia, and by Americans everywhere. Now they're being "victimized" by some little newspaper on the west coast of Florida!

The muslims should realize that if they stopped waging aggressive, terrorist jihad against every non-muslim people they come in contact with, they would no longer need to pull their "victim" scam. Who knows--if they stopped playing the "victim", they might even be able to move on with their lives, and to learn how to better their generally pathetic condition. That choice is entirely up to them!!!
