Interesting article, but it doesn't change the basic fact that we no longer care what the rest of the world thinks. The American public doesn't care, nor does the White House. The Administration has largely written off the whole of Europe, Canada, and a number of other nations as irrelevant. They offer nothing but hate and demands that we act just like them, so we've done the logical thing: We've closed the door and turned up the stereo so we can't hear them bloviating outside.

A bit confused here. Are you referring to "They" as the White House or the rest of the world?
