Yes, it does, blam:

Discovered by 15 University of the South Pacific geography students at Moturiki Island, the two-metre skeleton is believed to be of Solomon Islands origin.

My thinking: The other article came from the Times of India. All things being relative, a 2 metre skeleton in India probably is considered a giant. But not so remarkable in Polynesia, maybe?
