My sweet little Basset Hound, who Keith gave me as a wedding gift, was named Priscilla! I had nearly 14 years with her, and I miss her terribly. We went through so very much together. . . .

Hi there SB!! I have been away from FR for 2 months, due to a career change. Also, I have moved from So. Cal. to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, so I am really starting a new chapter in my life. How great it is to merely open my laptop and I am home again at the canteen !! best wishes, conserve-it

Shoot, I'm half Swedish and half MUTT! *G* Danish, English, Welsh, Irish, even Choctaw!! What a nightmare of a mixture! Why oh why didn't Dad marry someone from Galva?! Or Bishop Hill?! Yeah, yeah, then I wouldn't be here. But maybe I would! Minus the serious medical problems. Those, I got from my mother's side. But perhaps my spirit would have still been born into another body?! Who knows?!

Anyway, I think I'll go to sleep and dream about being born into another body! (One that isn't broken beyond repair! The arachnoiditis will never go away. There is no cure.) I have more meds coming tomorrow, and a good dream to plant in my head before I go to sleep!

I doubt I'll come back to the Canteen again. Somehow, my statement that I am tired of blonde jokes turned ugly, and got turned on me, as if I were trying to make trouble. I just didn't want people telling me those jokes. Just like I don't like coconut, and don't want people giving me coconut. But since it was blonde jokes and not coconut, somehow I'm a horrible person.

I'll miss you guys! I thought I'd found an actual home, where I could belong, and not -- well, Bunny knows. But I can feel where this is going, and it's not in my favor. I'm sorry I don't like blonde jokes. It was terrible of me.

Snow Bunny and AntiJen, I wish things had worked out differently. I really do. Misty, I'm glad I met you!

Oh, poppycock! Last night I sat here and answered the troops one by one. I kept falling asleep. This morning I get up and find that my answers are not here! Duh! what did I do? Do it all in my sleep????? Dream up the answers? The emails were so special from the troops and vets and I want them all to know how much they are appreciated, but apparently my brain was too exhausted to function right last night! Sorry!

Beep, you are not a horrible person and I don't want you to leave the Canteen. The troops need support from you! Think of them! What happened over the blonde jokes is not something that should drive you away from here. Please don't stay away. You HAVE found a home here, and just like in any real family sometimes siblings squabble, but they eventually make up and still are part of the same family. Please don't leave. I will be so sad if you do. Jen
