Excellent protest. I am proud of these women and what they accomplished (without violence). Indeed the companies should give back something to the communities where they are making money off of the resources and not just fill the coffers of the (most probably) corrupt governement officials.

It is not the responsibility of Chevron to build communities. They gave plenty to the Nigerian government, it is they that are responsible for taking care of their own people, not the corporations, if the government is corrupt, that is not Chevron's problem.

By their Neville Chamberlain-like actions today, Chevron is only going to encourage more to do the same.
