He's working hard to alienate the base also..

There are a couple of hand grenades he will have to negotiate on the way to 2004.

Immigration is one, the assault weapons ban is another.

I agree. Unfortunately, right now I don't see even the NRA willing to spend its precious political capital fighting the un-Constitutional "assault weapon" ban. Am I wrong? Do you think anyone is going to be willing to do the right - but unpopular - thing?
