New tone or not, this level of attack requires a response in kind -- one that hurts the enemy every bit as badly and personally as these attempt to do.

The press is trying to destroy the Republican party thru this issue. Where in the hell are the Republican damage control troops when they're needed? In the press, we'll hear about Bush and Cheney ad nauseum, and it will allow the Dems will win the upcoming elections. Do the math, Pubbies in power.

Wait, did he "take a bath", i.e., loss, or make a profit. The article says both, but the "take a bath" part is straight from Dick Cheney.

A good antidote would be to cap all media salaries at 50k and not allow any print reporters to appear on TV.They ought to do this for the good of the nation and for general "fairness".
It is also a given that those who work in the media are just some the dumbest people alive.

They're all over Cheney and Bush, and the Republicans aren't out there doing a thing to defend himNot so sure about this statement. Why should the GOP go on the defensive when there is nothing that needs defending? Sometimes it's frustrating, but this administration has shown in the past that often the best defense is to remain on the high road and let the left spin itself dizzy.

Yes, this is EXACTLY why I like Rush.
Rush is slamming them hard. Rush is calling these folks as he sees it right now. This is CLASSIC. Rush needs to keep swinging at them like this!
He is OFF my bad list.

On another thread, I posted a rant on the lack of leadership and agressiveness by the President, Vice-President, house and senate leaders and the National Republican party in the PR department. (All for the sake of a "kinder, gentler DC", I presume)
I posed the question when was the last time anyone saw or heard the RNC chairman on ANYTHING?
The DNC guy, McCauliffe is all over the tube and the printed media almost every day with his evil, but at least he's doing what he's being paid to do.
For decades, the GOP has been functionally disabled in using the media to further its goals. We're always waiting for them to change, but it never happens.
Please don't tell me all the Pubs are completely denied face-time on the Capitol steps, the Presidential bully-pulpit or the talk shows. Not true, and it's no excuse.
Bring back Haley Barbour! At the least, when he was RNC chairman, we knew what he looked like.

You know, one other option might be to bring itup with Howard Stern. I know, he ain't the cup of tea for most Freepers, but he doesn't like hypocrites, and the Dems look wide open to that charge.
PJ-Comix, do you think you can handle that outreach?

This is getting traction and it is really time to take the gloves off. I agree with Rush on this one, and I am a long time Bush supporter. We are not dealing with the Texas DemocRATs, we are dealing with D.C. DemocRATS led by daschle/gephardt/mcauliffe/clintons et al with their media moutpieces with no moral values or conscience that will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want.

Folks the press are not only liberal, they are in the backpockets of the Democrats. Most of these people are like lawyers they are very adept at twisting words and the truth.
I would put "The Mainstream Media" in the same category as a criminal. It is about time for an organization to be formed that checks on their background and private lives and put it in print. They have been covered up for too long and they are public figures as well as politicians and atheletes.

I agree with everything you have said! We cannot just sit back and not say anything. Kindler and gentler is not working!

That strategy didnt pay off to well for 41...and look what we got ... The demoncrats have latched on to this...not much time left to find an issue the press and demoncrats can sink their fangs into...looks like this is it..."It's the evil CEOs & Accountants Stupid".. ...and then they try to link the Repubs and Bush to their latest flypaper...hoping it sticks..
To: PhiKapMom
I'd agree, but we have to make a move in a manner that would give us the edge.
Hmmm... maybe an SEC investigation of Corzine and McAuliffe that becomes public, or something like that. Forget hardball, how about BEANBALL?
