Yes, I see both your points, but I don't think the GOP is doing "nothing" behind the scenes. There is a plan. I believe their strategy may be to let the Dems twist and distort the facts, then blast them in the fall by exposing their constant divisive policy of innuendo and smear politics. Bush campaigned on the promise he would try to change the tone in Washington, so even though we would like to see the gloves off, I think he's going to be a man of his word, as usual.
